SimHub
SimHub is a separate sim-racing tool used to create dashboards, LED profiles, overlays and motion/rumble effects. Many RaceLab users also run SimHub to show extra data on tablets, phones or small USB screens while RaceLab handles the main on-screen overlays.
SimHub is not required to use RaceLab. However, it can be very helpful if you want:
- Extra dashboards on a phone or tablet.
- Physical rev lights, flags or gear indicators using LEDs.
- Vibration/rumble feedback on seat shakers, pedals or wheel.
- More detailed telemetry views alongside your RaceLab overlays.
This page explains how SimHub can fit into a RaceLab setup and things to watch out for so the two apps do not fight over telemetry or ports.
Using SimHub alongside RaceLab
SimHub and RaceLab can happily run together if each one is given clear jobs and they are not both trying to control the same things at the same time.
Typical way people use SimHub with RaceLab
- RaceLab: main overlays on your monitor(s) or stream.
- SimHub: dashboards on a phone/tablet or extra USB screen.
- Optional: SimHub for LEDs and vibration, RaceLab for on-screen info.
Things to watch out for

Only one app should be “in charge” of each device.
If SimHub is driving LEDs or shakers, avoid other tools trying to control the same hardware at the same time. -
Telemetry ports and plugins.
Make sure your sim is allowed to send data to both tools. Most games support either multiple outputs, or a shared port that both can read from (depending on the sim). -
Performance impact.
Running RaceLab, SimHub and your sim together will use more CPU and GPU. Use an FPS counter or Task Manager to make sure your system is coping well. -
Overlay layout
Try to keep RaceLab overlays on your main driving view, and SimHub dashboards on separate screens or devices so the screen does not become cluttered.
Tip: If something breaks after adding SimHub (no telemetry, no overlays, or strange behaviour), disable SimHub completely and test RaceLab alone first. Then re-enable SimHub step by step so you can see exactly which setting causes a conflict.
