This page answers the most common questions about using the RaceLab app, overlays, Discord, VR support, and streaming. If you are still unsure after reading, our community is happy to help.
Each supported game has its own prerequisites. These are listed inside the app as First Steps, and can also be found under the Support section in the app.
Join our Discord and visit the #welcome channel. From there, assign yourself the roles for the channels you want to access (for example, help, VR, suggestions).
First, make sure you have completed the First Steps in the app for your game. If overlays are still not visible, please post in #i-need-help on Discord. There is no need to tag anyone directly – we review this channel regularly and will respond when we can.
The overlays are locked so you can position them without accidentally moving them. To unlock the overlays:
Yes. You can temporarily hide all overlays by pressing:
CTRL + SHIFT + H – press the same keys again to show them again.
No. The overlays do not work in exclusive full-screen mode. You need to run your game in windowed or borderless windowed mode. For each game, we explain how to set this up in the Support section of the app.
Yes. RaceLab works natively through SteamVR and is fully supported by OpenKneeboard for OpenXR.

NOTE: The current VR Beta allows overlays in VR without SteamVR.
