Common headsets all require, a file named vc_redist.x64.exe to be installed. This is a Microsoft file required for virtual reality use. With the current Racelab VR integration, a Steam account and SteamVR is also required.
A cable connection from the headset to the computer is very highly recommended for best performance.
HP Reverb G2, is one of the easiest VR headset to setup. It requires SteamVR, Windows Mixed Reality, and another Steam program called Windows Mixed Reality For SteamVR.
Oculus Quest headsets, requires a more complex setup. They require the Oculus account and the Oculus computer program, a link cable (Recommended), a steam account, SteamVR, and I recommend the Revive method to use Quest headsets with Racelabs. See video tutorial here
Many times I have seen users have issues with VR setup. It is mostly due to them using far to high video settings in headset software / SteamVR settings or game graphics setting. I suggest setting SteamVR video resolution setting to 65% as a good starting point.
If you are Pro Racelab subscriber
If you are Pro Racelab subscriber, then I highly recommend using the new VR beta version of Racelabs. It is very easy to use, and does not require additional programs, other than the Oculus computer program.
