RaceLab Support – rFactor 2 (RF2)

Quick win: rF2 must NOT be in exclusive fullscreen for overlays. Set Window Mode = Borderless and restart rF2 once. ^[1] ^[2]

Getting Started (Recommended Path)

Auto Setup (easy)

Open the RaceLab app.
Go to Settings → Game Setup.
Click Configure for rFactor 2.^[1]
Restart rF2 after it completes.

If you still get “No data”

Apply the In-Game Settings below (Borderless + restart).^[1]
Then do the Telemetry Plugin steps below (copy plugin + enable it in Gameplay).^[1]

Official rF2 Setup Supported Sims (rF2)

In-Game Settings (Borderless)

Disable exclusive fullscreen so overlays can draw on top. Restart rF2 after changing this. ^[1] ^[2]

Open rF2 and click the Settings icon.
Open the GRAPHICS tab.
Under DISPLAY, set Window Mode to Borderless.^[1]
Restart rF2 to apply changes.

Install and Enable Telemetry Plugin

Step 1: Copy the plugin (.dll)

Download the plugin from the official guide page.^[1]
Copy it to this folder:

steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Bin64\Plugins\

Close rF2 before changing files, then start rF2 again.^[1]

Step 2: Enable it in rF2

Start rF2 (restart if it was already running).
Click the Settings icon.
Open the GAMEPLAY tab.
In PLUGINS, set rFactor2SharedMemoryMapPlugin.dll to On.^[1]
Restart rF2 after enabling/disabling plugins.

Quick Fixes

No data in RaceLab

Confirm the plugin file is in: Bin64\Plugins.^[1]
Confirm the plugin is set to On in GAMEPLAY → PLUGINS.^[1]
Restart rF2 after changes.

Overlays not visible

Confirm Window Mode = Borderless (not exclusive fullscreen).^[2]
Restart rF2 after changing window mode.
