Assetto Corsa uses the RaceLab Library Plugin (Python app) to enable RaceLab support. This page shows the official install path, how to enable the plugin inside AC, and the fastest fixes if RaceLab shows no data.

RaceLab Support – Assetto Corsa (AC)

Quick win: After installing/enabling the plugin, you must restart Assetto Corsa for it to take effect. ^[1]

What this setup does

Installs the RaceLab Library Plugin into AC’s Python apps folder.
Enables RacelabLib inside AC (UI Modules).
Ensures RaceLab can receive the data it needs from AC.

Official AC Setup (RaceLab Garage) Supported Sims (AC)

Install the RaceLab Library Plugin (Python)

Step 1: Find your AC install folder

Open Steam → Library.
Right-click Assetto Corsa → Properties.
Click Browse… to open the install folder.^[1]

Step 2: Copy the plugin folder

Download the RaceLab Library Plugin.^[1]
Extract the ZIP.
Copy the extracted folder into:

\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\apps\python

Tip: make sure you copied the extracted plugin folder into python (not the ZIP, and not an extra “folder inside a folder”).^[1]

Enable “RacelabLib” in Assetto Corsa

Enable UI Module

Launch Assetto Corsa.
Go to Options.
Open General.
Scroll to UI Modules.
Enable RacelabLib.^[1]

Restart required

Close AC completely.
Start AC again (this is required for UI Modules changes to apply).^[1]

If you’re using overlays on top of the game, remember: RaceLab generally does not support exclusive fullscreen — use windowed/borderless where possible. ^[2]

Quick Fixes

No data / nothing updates

Confirm the plugin folder is inside: \assettocorsa\apps\python\.^[1]
Confirm RacelabLib is enabled in Options → General → UI Modules.^[1]
Restart AC after enabling UI Modules.^[1]

Overlays don’t appear on top

Exclusive fullscreen can block overlays — use windowed/borderless where possible.^[2]
After changing display mode, restart the game once.
