Account & Login Help – Scottozy’s Unofficial RaceLab Support

Account & Login Help

This page explains how RaceLab sign-in works and what to do if you have trouble logging in or with your account. I’m Scott (“Scottozy”) and I run this unofficial help website to support RaceLab users and developers by making it easier to use the app correctly.

Very important: This site cannot see, access or change any RaceLab account. For anything to do with your login, Pro membership, billing or account data, you must contact the official team at support@racelab.app or speak with a RaceLab staff member (for example @MEW) on the official RaceLab Discord server.

1. How RaceLab sign-in works

RaceLab does not use its own separate email + password login. Instead, the app uses social sign-in. When you launch the RaceLab app, you see the sign-in screen with the big RaceLab logo and the text “Please use a social login”, plus three icons:

  • Google (G icon)
  • Twitch (Twitch logo)
  • Discord (Discord logo)

To sign in, you simply click one of these icons. RaceLab then asks that provider (Google, Twitch or Discord) to confirm who you are. If you are already logged into that service in your browser, this usually happens with very little extra clicking.

On your first sign-in, RaceLab links your RaceLab profile to that social account. You do not create a separate RaceLab password, and you do not type your email address directly into RaceLab to log in.

If you later choose to log out of the RaceLab app, the next time you open it you will need to click the same icon again. Make sure you are using the same Google, Twitch or Discord account you originally used when you joined RaceLab, otherwise you may accidentally create or use a different profile.

2. Quick checks if you cannot log in

Before contacting support, run through this basic checklist. These steps fix a lot of sign-in problems:

  1. Confirm you are on the official login page.
Open the RaceLab app or the official sign-in page and make sure it says “Please use a social login” with the three icons.
  2. Check which social account is active in your browser.
Open a browser tab for Google, Twitch or Discord and confirm you are logged into the correct account (the one you used when you first linked RaceLab).
  3. Try a different browser tab/window.
Occasionally a stuck browser session can cause issues. Closing and reopening the app, or restarting your browser, can help.
  4. If you forgot your password, reset it with the social provider.
Use the normal “Forgot password” process on Google, Twitch or Discord. RaceLab never sees your password – it only receives a “this user is verified” response from them.
  5. Try logging out & in again inside the RaceLab app.
If you are stuck half-logged-in, fully sign out from within the app, close it, then reopen and click your social icon again.

If you still cannot sign in after those steps, it’s time to contact the official RaceLab team.

3. When to email support@racelab.app

Only the RaceLab developers and support staff can actually access and fix account issues. Please email:

📧 Email: support@racelab.app

You should always email support for things like:

  • You cannot sign in with your normal social login, even after checking that you’re using the correct Google/Twitch/Discord account.
  • Problems with Pro membership, billing, payment or subscription status.
  • You think your account might be compromised or used by someone else.
  • You need help with data or privacy questions.
  • Anything to do with bans, suspensions or account status.

What to include in your email

To help the team resolve your issue quickly, include:

  • Which social login you use for RaceLab (Google, Twitch or Discord).
  • The email address associated with that social account (for identification only – never send your password).
  • A short description of the problem and when it started.
  • Screenshots of any error messages or unusual screens.
  • Your operating system (for example “Windows 11”) and which sim(s) you ’re using RaceLab with, if relevant.

Never send your actual password in an email or screenshot. The RaceLab team will not ask for it.

4. Getting help via the RaceLab Discord (@MEW)

If you prefer live conversation, you can also get help through the official RaceLab Discord server:

  • Join: RaceLabApps Discord .
  • For general questions, use the public help channels (such as #i-need-help), and explain your issue clearly.
  • For account-specific issues, you may send a polite direct message to @MEW, who helps with official support.

When messaging @MEW or any staff member, include:

  • The social provider you use (Google, Twitch or Discord).
  • The email associated with that provider (for identification only, not your password).
  • A screenshot of the problem if possible.

5. What this site (Scottozy) can and cannot do

This website is written and maintained by me, Scott (“Scottozy”). I am a long-time user and community helper, but not a RaceLab developer or employee.

I can:

  • Explain how the sign-in process works in simple terms.
  • Help you prepare better emails or Discord messages to the official support team.
  • Provide general guidance on overlays, layouts, VR and performance.

I cannot:

  • See or change your RaceLab account details.
  • Reset passwords (these belong to Google, Twitch or Discord).
  • Activate, cancel or refund Pro memberships or change billing details.
  • Override any decision made by the official RaceLab team about accounts.

Because this entire site is written by one person, some errors may occur or instructions may become outdated as RaceLab evolves. If you spot something wrong or unclear, please treat it as an honest mistake and let me know so I can fix it.

6. Friendly disclaimer

This website is an unofficial, community-run resource. It does not sell RaceLab, and it is not here to promote or criticise the product. The purpose is to help RaceLab users learn how to use the app correctly and, in doing so, to support the developers by reducing repeated support questions.

Any mention of problems or limitations is shared in a positive, problem-solving spirit only. The goal is never to defame or paint RaceLab in a bad light. RaceLab is a complex and actively developed application; occasional issues are normal for software that keeps improving. This page simply helps you reach the right people when something goes wrong.

Always treat the official RaceLab website, Garage documentation, roadmap and staff replies as the final word on account matters. This page is just your helper map to get there as quickly and politely as possible.
