⬅ Back to the Racelab & Sim Racing Knowledge Base
Hi, it’s Scottozy 👋
In this guide I’ll walk you through, step by step, how to get F1 25 sending telemetry to your PC, so that SimHub dashboards work properly. I’ll also explain what is and isn’t possible right now with RaceLab.
This is written for complete beginners – no networking knowledge needed. Just follow each section slowly.
Tip: If things don’t work later, 80% of the time it’s because the console and PC are not actually on the same network (for example, one is on “Guest Wi-Fi”).
F1 25 needs to know where to send the telemetry. We will give it the IP address of the PC running SimHub (and RaceLab).
cmd and press Enter – a black window opens.ipconfig and press Enter.192.168.0.50.
Example: If you see IPv4 Address . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.34,
then your PC IP is 192.168.1.34.
Now we tell the game to send data out over the network.
192.168.1.34).
At this point F1 25 is ready to talk to SimHub on your PC, using the right port and format.
Now we tell SimHub to listen for that data.
If SimHub still says “waiting for connection”, double check:
RaceLab overlays also read telemetry. For other sims (like iRacing, LMU etc.) this works great. For F1 25, things are still catching up.
Right now, SimHub expects F1 25 to use the modern UDP Format 2025.
RaceLab, at the time of writing, still understands the older F1 telemetry formats from previous games.
In plain English:
UDP Format = 2025 → works properly. That means there is currently no perfect one-click setup where both SimHub and RaceLab are fully happy with F1 25 at the same time using the official format.
This is what I recommend for most beginners:
Think of RaceLab for F1 25 as “work in progress” – keep an eye on RaceLab updates and patch notes.
Some advanced users experiment with:
This can lead to:
Because of that, I don’t recommend this for beginners. It’s a rabbit hole.
Long-term, the clean solution will be:
When that day comes, this page will be updated with a short “turn it on here, select F1 25 in RaceLab, done” section.
Run through this list if you get stuck:
For now, the most stable and least painful setup is:
When RaceLab has full native support for F1 25, I’ll update this guide so you can run both together cleanly with just a few clicks.
If you get stuck, grab screenshots of your F1 25 telemetry screen and SimHub settings, then reach out – it’s much easier to help when I can see the numbers.
This guide explains, step by step, how to correctly set up F1 25 UDP telemetry so it works reliably with RaceLab and SimHub. It is written for beginners and focuses on doing things in the correct order to avoid the most common mistakes.
Telemetry is live data sent by the game while you are driving. In F1 25 this data includes speed, gear, throttle, brake, ERS state, lap timing, position, fuel, and more.
F1 25 broadcasts this data using UDP packets over your local network. RaceLab and SimHub simply listen to that data — they do not control the game.
127.0.0.1.SimHub can run at the same time as RaceLab, but you must avoid UDP port conflicts.
